"They've been taking my music and
bootlegging my shows for ages. I know all the sites that have my bootlegs and
all my MP3s. Actually, I don't give a flying fuck. I like the internet and I
like the community." (David Bowie) Bootlegs: (also see my U2, Placebo, Cock Robin/Peter Kingsbery, Sting, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, The Doors, Prince and others bootlegs)
Here you find my collection of unoffical David Bowie recordings. This is just for information, neither will I sell any of them nor will I trade. I can highly recommend you the sites of Luther Blisset or Someone Special from them I got a lot of my CDRs and they are - when it came to me so far - very friendly and absolutely reliable.
Every recording is rated from * to *****. When it comes to Live-recordings, it's sound and show (Bowie's mood, audience, atmosphere, special guests, setlist), when it comes to Video-CDRs it's quality (sound & vision) and interest, for Studio/Remix-Collections it's sound and interest (number of rare/collectable songs).
These ratings are of course very subjective and somebody will surely disagree. I try to be as strict as possible when it comes to sound. That means ***** means almost studio/offical quality, **** is still very good soundboard or perfect audience recording that you can play to people who are not necessarily Bowie-Fans. *** and ** are still very listenable, rating depends on handclapping, audience talk etc. and (when it comes to older recordings) the quality of the transfer from tape/vinyl. Just mention that I try to be strict. In my oppinion ** are worth buying, * find usually not their way into my collection. "Must have"-items are marked yellow.
