Every recording is rated from * to *****. When it comes to Live-recordings, it's sound and show (The musician's mood, audience, atmosphere, special guests, setlist), when it comes to Video-CDRs it's quality (sound & vision) and interest, for Studio/Remix-Collections it's sound and interest (number of rare/ collectable songs).

These ratings are of course very subjective and somebody will surely disagree. I try to be as strict as possible when it comes to sound. That means ***** means almost studio/offical quality, **** is still very good soundboard or perfect audience recording that you can play to people who are not necessarily Fans. *** and ** are still very listenable, rating depends on handclapping, audience talk etc. and (when it comes to older recordings) the quality of the transfer from tape/vinyl. Just mention that I try to be strict.  In my oppinion ** are worth buying, * find usually not their way into my collection. "Must have"-items are marked yellow.

  Sound: Show:
for die-hard fans only boring show
** good audience recording audience almost inaudible
*** very good audience recording good show
**** very good FM, TV or soundboard or perfect audience recording very good show
***** excellent FM, TV or soundboard recording perfect show, both audience and Bowie
